Some incredibly sad news here: Upcoming Pixar reports on the death of Pixar artist Justin Wright, who worked for over a year at the story department. Wright, who is credited as having worked on the end titles to Ratatouille (pictured), died Tuesday night due to heart troubles, according to a post on Pixar story supervisor Ronnie del Carmen's blog. He was 27.For more on Wright, see his college profile here.
Sad news indeed...

That's sad news to hear.
Such a shock. Our prayers are with his family and friends.
Justin's Mom is a 5th grade teacher and today in her class (I am currently teaching for her) we watched "Ratatouille" in Justin's honor. Although it was time to go home the children stayed glued to the TV until they saw Justin's name. And when finally it came up they all screamed and cheered. He has become their hero. Our prayers are with his family and friends.
Anonymous, thanks for sharing your story.
We just got out of WALL-E and saw his name in the credits.
While parts filled us with (intentional) bleak despair, the overall sentiment was one of hope, that life goes on in spite of (sometimes overwhelming) setbacks.
Shortly afterwards, we saw the names of all the Production Babies, something we always look forward to. Hopefully their parents will tell them about Justin and all the good work he did.
And what a great movie to show a class of fifth graders to inspire them to make a difference.
That is really sad to read -- I saw the movie on the opening day -- best movie of the year imo, beautiful and heartwartming. In the closing credits I read the name "Justin Wright". Haven't gotten around to googling his name until now.
27 years, and heart failure --- what a sad story.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
I just finished watching WALL-E and I can say that I will add it to the list of my favorite movies. While waiting for the closing credits to finish, I noticed the line "In loving memory of Justin Wright". After watching, I searched the net about him. I found out what happened to him and his great works as an artist in Pixar. I hope he is happy wherever he might be right now. He did a great job! His life story inspired me to enhance my talent in drawing further. Thank you Justin!
I also have just watched the film WALL-E on DVD.
A great film & I also will be adding it to one of my favourites.
As so many people have, I too searched on the internet for Justin Wright as soon as I saw his name come up half way through the credits, with news of his untimely death.
His art will live on.
Em
I have just seen Wall-E for the 3rd time in 2 days. I felt the need to look up Justin Wright today, to find that he is one of the backbones to the Pixar shorts that have made me laugh. I feel like I need to see Ratatouille again with a new knowledge of Justin being a part of it. I loved that flick, even before I knew about his passing. I'm honored to know that my appriciation is given to a deserving soul, who will live on in our eyes veiw, and our hearts for living such a full life.
