In an interview published today in the Wall Street Journal, Andrew Stanton was asked about what the chances are that he will bring his writing and directing talent to the world of live-action filmmaking. He responded candidly saying, "...I have a feeling that it's definitely in my future".While Stanton has spoken on the topic before, this appears to be the closest thing (for now) to a confirmation that his next project, John Carter of Mars, will be live-action, as has been hinted at before.
Does this mean that he will be leaving Pixar? "I'm not leaving Pixar until I am the last person standing", he says, having earlier mentioned that when he arrived there were less than ten employees.
